Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to SIR Handling Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
  2. Remove the fasteners securing the seat cushion to the adjuster track. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 430379  Size: SH
  4. Lift the front of the seat cushion up in order to gain access to the heated seat module (1).
  5. Notice: Refer to Electrical Wiring Routing Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the heated seat module.
  7. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the heated seat module to the bottom of the seat cushion.
  8. Remove the heated seat module (2) from the bottom of the seat cushion.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the heated seat module (2) to the bottom of the seat cushion.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the heated seat module fasteners.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the electrical connectors (3) to the heated seat module (2).
  6. Ensure the wiring harness is positioned in the same location in which it was removed.
  7. Install the seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement .
  8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
