Electronic Traction Control Switch Replacement w/NW9

1. Remove the trim plate bezel - IP Cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
2. Remove the console accessory switch mount plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Accessory Switch Mount Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the traction control switch.
4. Remove the traction control switch mounting screw (1).
5. Remove the traction control switch (3).

1. Install the traction control switch (3).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the traction control switch mounting screw (1).

Tighten
Tighten the traction control mounting screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the traction control switch.
4. Install the console accessory switch mount plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Accessory Switch Mount Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
5. Install the trim plate bezel - IP Cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
