Secondary Air Injection Shut-Off Valve Outlet Pipe/Hose Replacement - Bank 1 for Pontiac Bonneville 2004

1. Remove the bank 1 secondary air injection (AIR) shut-off valve. Refer to Secondary Air Injection Shutoff Valve Replacement - Bank 1 .
2. Remove the 2 nuts securing the shut-off valve to the bank 1 AIR outlet pipe
3. Remove the bank 1 AIR outlet pipe.

1. Install the bank 1 AIR outlet pipe and new gasket to the bank 1 AIR shut-off valve.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the 2 nuts securing the bank 1 AIR outlet pipe to the bank 1 AIR shut-off valve.

Tighten
Tighten the 2 nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

3. Install the bank 1 AIR shut-off valve. Refer to Secondary Air Injection Shutoff Valve Replacement - Bank 1 .
