Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

  2. Object Number: 627402  Size: SH
  3. Remove the heat shield fasteners.
  4. Remove the heat shield.

  5. Object Number: 627408  Size: SH
  6. Remove the fasteners from the brace.
  7. Remove the brace.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the engine to transaxle brace.

  2. Object Number: 627408  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the fasteners into the engine and transmission.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the brace bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the heat shield.
  6. Install the heat shield fasteners.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the heat shield nuts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  8. Install the right front tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
