DIESEL FAST GLOW RELAY PRECAUTION DO NOT BYPASS RELAY

DIESEL FAST GLOW RELAY PRECAUTIONS-CUTLASS-88-98-TORNADO MODELS THE DIESEL ENGINE FAST GLOW CONTROL SYSTEM FOR CUTLASS, 88,98 AND TORONADO MODELS REQUIRES THE USE OF A HEAVY DUTY CONTROL RELAY, P/N 560580. THIS RELAY IS MOUNTED TO THE RH FILLER PLATE AND CONTROLS THE FLOW OF CURRENT FROM THE BATTERY TO THE GLOW PLUGS. THE GLOW PLUG RELAY MUST NOT BE BYPASSED FOR ANY REASON. JUMPING THE RELAY TO ENERGIZE THE GLOW PLUGS BYPASSES THE INTERNAL CIRCUITRY THAT CONTROLS THE TEMPERATURE RELATIONSHIP AT THE PLUGS. THIS ACTION WILL CAUSE THE GLOW PLUGS TO BURN OUT. DIESEL GLOW PLUG RELAY PRECAUTIONS-1980-1981 C15 WITH 5.7 LITER DIESEL ENGINE PRECAUTIONS: THE GLOW PLUG RELAY IN THE FAST GLOW CONTROL SYSTEM MUST NOT BE BYPASSED FOR ANY REASON. JUMPING THE RELAY TO ENERGIZE THE GLOW PLUGS BYPASSES THE INTERNAL CIRCUITRY THAT CONTROLS THE TEMPERATURE RELATIONSHIP AT THE PLUGS. THIS ACTION WILL CAUSE THE GLOW PLUGS TO BURN OUT. 1981 CONTROL RELAY: THE DIESEL ENGINE FAST GLOW CONTROL SYSTEM FOR 1981 DIESEL ENGINES REQUIRES THE USE OF A GLOW PLUG RELAY, P/N 560580. THIS RELAY IS MOUNTED TO THE LEFT INNER FENDER SURFACE. IT CONTROLS THE FLOW OF CURRENT FROM THE BATTERY TO THE GLOW PLUGS.
