DRIVE LINE RATTLE 2004R/ 200C TRANSMISSION

BEGINNING LATE OCTOBER, 1981, A NEW REAR INTERNAL GEAR AND OUTPUT SHAFT ASSEMBLY WENT INTO PRODUCTION FOR THE 1982 THM 200C AND THE THM 200-4R TRANSMISSIONS. THE REAR INTERNAL GEAR IS NOW PRESSED ONTO THE OUTPUT SHAFT, RESULTING IN A ONE PIECE ASSEMBLY. THE NEW PRESS FIT OUTPUT SHAFT ASSEMBLY WILL REDUCE DRIVE-LINE RATTLE IN THIRD GEAR WHEN THE CONVERTER CLUTCH IS APPLIED ON DIESEL AND 'S' TRUCK APPLICATIONS. SERVICE INFORMATION THE PRESS FIT OUTPUT SHAFT ASSEMBLY MUST BE SERVICED AS ONE PART. WHEN SERVICING THE 1982 THM 200C, USE PART NUMBER 8633910. USE PART NUMBER 8639016 WHEN SERVICING THE 1982 THM 200-4R. THE PRESS FIT OUTPUT SHAFT ASSEMBLY CAN BE USED ON PAST MODEL THM 200C AND THM 200-4R DIESEL APPLICATIONS.
