Did you perform the Vehicle Diagnostic System Check?

Verify that the power windows lockout function is inoperative.

Does the power windows lockout function operate normally?

Go to in Wiring Systems

  1. Disconnect the driver window switch.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Probe the power window master switch lockout signal circuit of the driver window switch with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Repair the short to voltage in the power window master switch lockout signal circuit. Refer to in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 5

Inspect for a poor connections at the harness connector of the driver window switch. Refer to and in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 7

Replace the driver window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement - Left Side .
