Did you perform the Vehicle Diagnostic System Check?

Verify that the driver door power window is inoperative.

Does the driver door power window operate normally?

Go to in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the driver window motor.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Probe the power window motor left front up circuit of the driver window motor with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
  4. Activate the driver window switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 4

  1. Connect a test lamp between the power window motor left front up circuit of the driver window motor and the power window motor left front down circuit of the driver window motor.
  2. Activate the driver window switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 7

Test the power window motor left front up circuit for an open. Refer to and in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 11

Test the power window motor left front down circuit for an open. Refer to and in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver window motor. Refer to and in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 11

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver window switch. Refer to and in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the driver window motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement .

Replace the driver window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement - Left Side .
