REVISED: BORG & GENERAL CLOCKS WARRANTY REPAIR INFORMATION

Electric clocks used in General Motors vehicles are warranted under the "New Vehicle Warranty" for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever first occurs. When a defective clock is removed during the warranty period, it must be sent to an authorized clock repair station or to the responsible manufacturer for repair.

Pontiac Motor Division currently uses clocks from three manufacturers, AC, Borg Instruments, and General Time. Obtaining warranty repair for clocks from all three manufacturers will be covered separately in this bulletin.

Manufacturer's identification is essential and is either stamped on the housing or printed on a label on the clock housing. If the manufacturer's stamped name cannot be read, darken the letters with a lead pencil. This will enable you to identify the manufacturer.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT A PROPERLY COMPLETED FORM ACD1078 BE ATTACHED TO AC DELCO CLOCKS RETURNED FOR REPAIRS. IF COMPLETE INFORMATION IS NOT FUR- NISHED, DEALERS MAY BE BILLED FOR THE REPAIR.

SPECIAL CARE SHOULD BE EXERCISED IN PACKAGING TO PREVENT DAMAGE IN TRANSIT.

Dealers should ship defective clocks to the responsible manufacturer or repair station prepaid. The return of the clock to the dealer may be prepaid by the manufacturer or repair station or may be shipped "collect" to the dealer.

Dealer's cost for shipping of clock will be reimbursed by Pontiac Motor Division through the dealer's submission of a standard warranty claim invoice listing the shipping cost in the sublet column. A copy of the shipping receipt must be attached to the dealer scrapping copy of the warranty claim invoice.

Defective General Time digital clocks are to be mailed directly to: Precision Products, General Time Corporation, 404 Armour Street, Davidson, NC 28036.

Standard Clocks

Defective General Time standard clocks are to be mailed to an appropriate authorized repair station in your area for repairs. General Time authorized repair stations, by state, are listed below. Please note that General Time Corporation in Davidson, NC, will repair standard as well as digital clocks.

General Time and Precision Products are trade names that are used with or in place of Westclox U.S.

Westclox electric clocks may be sent to any of the authorized repair stations listed.

All Westclox quartz digital and quartz analog clocks MUST BE sent to Westclox U.S., 404 Armour Street, Davidson, NC 28036. Conventional electric clocks may also be sent to Davidson for service.
