NO START/NO RUN WIRING HARNESS SHORT

1986 FIERO

"Please disregard previous bulletin 86-3-2, due to a wrong section number and change to 86-8-5".

CONDITION:

--------- Certain 1986 V-6 equipped Fieros may experience a no-start no run condition or may hesitate due to shorting of the HVAC and fuel pump relay wiring harness against the exhaust manifold.

CAUSE:

----- The condition is caused by the above wiring harness being routed too close to the exhaust manifold or pipe.

CORRECTION (See Illustration):

Reposition the wire harness, after any necessary repairs, behind the crankcase ventilation tubular cross pipe (closer to the rear bulkhead) and away from the exhaust pipe area and secure the harness with a tie strap. Vehicles after VIN FP201000 will not have this condition.
