LOW OIL PRESSURE THM700-R4 DIAG.PUMP CAVITATION NOISE

WHEN DIAGNOSING LOW OIL PRESSURE OR OIL PUMP CAVITATION NOISE ON A THM 700-4R TRANSMISSION CHECK THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: INSPECT--- 1. OIL FILTER "0" RING FOR NICKS OR CUTS. REPLACE WITH PART NUMBER 8619568 IF NECESSARY. 2. OIL FILTER BODY FOR HAIRLINE CRACKS AND NECK FOR FLASH OR BLOCKAGE. REPLACE WITH PART NUMBER 8642933 IF NECESSARY. 3. IF THE OIL FILTER SHOW SIGNS OF WEAR AT THE POINT IT CONTACTS THE OIL FILTER RETAINING CLIP, REPLACE THE FILTER WITH PART NUMBER 8642933 AND THE CLIP WITH PART NUMBER 8642422 IF NECESSARY.
