Because of numerous requests from GM Dealer Organizations, all 1984 models will have a Service Option Label installed.
The label will provide proper identification of vehicle equipment to assist dealers in servicing and determining replacement parts for GM customers. Included will be regular production options (RPO's) as well as standard and mandatory options. The label will be affixed to the inside of each passenger car vehicle at the assembly plant. Installation locations and user instructions have been provided to your parts department.
A booklet listing each option code and name has been mailed to all GM dealers by WDDGM.
The figures on reverse side will provide you typical locations of these labels as identified by car series.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
