CHANGE OF LUBRICATION AIR VALVE SPRING PIN

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1984 Vehicles Equipped with 2SE and E2SE Varajet Carburetors

During model year 1984, a sliding bushing was added to the air valve spring pin on certain model 2SE and E2SE (Varajet) carburetors. When servicing the models with the bushing, do not lubricate the bushing or pin.

However, when servicing models without the bushing, continue to apply lithium base grease liberally to the pin at the point of contact with the spring, as shown.
