THE ELECTRONIC SPARK TIMING LINES TO THE DISTRIBUTOR MAY BE MAKING HARD CONTACT WITH THE ENGINE LIFT HOOK AT THE REAR OF THE RIGHT HAND CYLINDER HEAD (NEAR THE DISTRIBUTOR). EITHER THE ENGINE HARNESS OR THE EST HARNESS ON THE DISTRIBUTOR MAY BE AFFECTED.
---------- 1. DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.
2. LOCATE AND REPAIR ANY WIRES WITH INSULATION RUBBED THROUGH.
3. ADD CONDUIT TO WIRE HARNESSES AS NECESSARY TO PROTECT WIRES. IN SOME CASES, IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO SECURE HARNESS WITH TIE STRAPS TO AVOID CONTACT WITH THE ENGINE LIFT HOOK.
4. RECONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.
