DOOR ARMRESTS P/N CHANGE FOR SERVICE AND PRODUCTION

Models Affected: 1990 FIREBIRD

Due to a vendor change, the 1990 Firebird part numbers for door armrests have been changed for service and production. Should it become necessary to replace an armrest, be sure to check VIN prior to ordering a new part.

All 1990 Pontiac Firebirds built before the following vehicle identification numbers should use the following armrest:

Medium Dark Gray Interior Trim VIN # LL111950 Armrest - 10077864 Right 10077865 Left

Black Interior Trim VIN # LL114641 Armrest - 10077858 Right 10077859 Left

Medium Beechwood Interior Trim VIN # LL209671 Armrest - 10077860 Right 10077861 Left

Flame Red InteriorTrim VIN # LL115176 Armrest - 10125224 Right 10125225 Left

Also, the bolt/screw in the snorkel of the armrest should be 10089498.

All 1990 Pontiac Firebirds built with or after the following vehicl identification numbers should use the following armrest:

Black Interior Trim VIN # LL114641 Armrest - 10159064 Right 10159065 Left

Also, the bolt/screw in the snorkel of the armrest should be 20310728.

Parts are expected to be available on April 2, 1990. Until then normal part orders will not be accepted by GMSPO. Only verifiable emergency VIP orders will be accepted. SPO will make every effort to obtain parts. All parts will be placed on 400 control to waive VIP surcharges. However, the part will be shipped premium transportation at dealer's expense. All other order types will be canceled as incorrectly ordered while the 400 control is in place.
