Due to a vendor change, the 1990 Firebird part numbers for door armrests have been changed for service and production. Should it become necessary to replace an armrest, be sure to check VIN prior to ordering a new part.
All 1990 Pontiac Firebirds built before the following vehicle identification numbers should use the following armrest:

Also, the bolt/screw in the snorkel of the armrest should be 10089498.

Parts are expected to be available on April 2, 1990. Until then normal part orders will not be accepted by GMSPO. Only verifiable emergency VIP orders will be accepted. SPO will make every effort to obtain parts. All parts will be placed on 400 control to waive VIP surcharges. However, the part will be shipped premium transportation at dealer's expense. All other order types will be canceled as incorrectly ordered while the 400 control is in place.
