NEW LOWER FRONT FENDER MOLDING (LEFT SIDE ONLY)

Subject: LOWER FRONT FENDER MOLDING (LEFT SIDE ONLY) LARGER LOCATING TAB (REVISED SERVICE PARTS)

Models Affected: 1991-92 TRANS AM AND GTA MODELS

A new service part has been released for the 1991-92 Trans AM and GTA lower front fender molding (left side only). The new part has a larger tab on the molding and a larger mating slot on the fascia.

Original Molding Kit, P/N 12508855 will be replaced by P/N 12517757. When using new molding kit, P/N 12517757 on past models, the molding tab must be cut to a smaller size of 10.Omm as shown in View A.

Parts are expected to be available on February 24, 1992. In case of limited inventory, parts will be placed on 400 Control to waive VIP surcharges. Only verifiable emergency VIP orders will be accepted. SPO will make every effort to obtain parts. However, the part will be shipped premium transportation at dealer's expense and all other order types will be placed on backorder until the 400 control is removed.
