SERVICING DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP PHOTO SENSOR AND GRILLE

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1990-91 B/F/L-CARS

Models Affected: 1990 B-Cars 1990-91 F-Cars 1990 L-CARS

The removal of the Photo Sensor and Grille will be shown in Figure 1 of this service bulletin.

To service the Daytime Running Lamp Photo Sensor and Grille equipped on both the B and F models, perform the following steps:

Removal:

1. Tape the defroster ducts closed.

2. Pull the DRL housing up approximately half an inch from the instrument panel to expose DRL housing.

3. Using a small screwdriver, place the blade of the screwdriver into slot A (see illustration) and compress tab to tab to remove grille.

4. Remove sensor from DRL housing.

Installation:

1. Install photo sensor into DRL housing.

2. Snap grille into the DRL housing.

3. Install DRL housing into instrument panel.

4. Remove tape from ducts.

To service the Daytime Running Lamp Photo Sensor and Grille equipped in L-Cars, the defroster grille must be removed. Then follow the same procedures listed above.

The following part numbers are to be used when servicing Daytime Running Lamp Components:
