SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ABOUT A SLIGHT LATERAL (SIDE-TO-SIDE) MOVEMENT OF THE FRONT SEAT BACK.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT BACK AND ADD WASHERS TO PIVOT PIN USING THE FOLLOW- ING PROCEDURE:
1. REMOVE SEAT ASSEMBLY FROM THE VEHICLE AND PLACE ON A WORK SURFACE. 2. REMOVE SEAT BACK RECLINER HINGE ARM COVER AND BOLTS ATTACHING RECLINER TO SEAT CUSHION. 3. REMOVE SEAT BACK FROM SEAT CUSHION BY UNSNAPPING FROM PIVOT BUSHING. 4. UNFASTEN "J" RETAINER ON BOTTOM REAR OF SEAT CUSHION, PULL TRIM UP AND AWAY TO INSPECT PIVOT PIN BUSHING AND INSURE IT IS NOT BROKEN. (SEE ILLUSTRATION.) 5. APPLY A MEDIUM COAT OF 3M, P/N 8946, SILICONE PASTE OR EQUIVALENT TO PIVOT PIN FOR LUBRICATION. 6. PLACE TWO (2) 1-1/2 O.D. X 3/8 I.D. FLAT WASHERS ON PIVOT PIN AND SLIDE SLEEVE OVER ARM. 7. REINSTALL BACK TO SEAT BOTTOM, TORQUE ATTACHING BOLTS TO 24 N.M (18 LBS.FT.). 8. VISUALLY INSPECT TO VERIFY PIVOT PIN IS FULLY ENGAGED IN NYLON BUSHING/RETAINER. (SEE ILLUSTRATION.) REFASTEN BOTTOM CUSHION "J" TRIM RETAINER. 9. REINSTALL SEAT ASSEMBLY TO VEHICLE, TORQUE TO 24 N.M (18 LBS.FT.). REINSTALL NUT CAPS.
