Removal Procedure (Air Cleaner Intake Duct )
Notice: If the mass air flow (MAF) sensor is installed backwards,
the system will go rich. An arrow cast into the plastic portion of the sensor
indicates proper air flow direction. The arrow must point toward the engine.
- Release the fasteners located at the
front of the air cleaner duct/resonator assembly.
- Release the button fasteners located at the rear of the air cleaner
duct assembly.
- Loosen the hose clamp from the air intake duct at the air cleaner
duct assembly..
- Loosen the hose clamp from the air intake duct at the throttle
body assembly
- Remove the air intake
duct from the air
cleaner duct/resonator assembly.
Installation Procedure (Air Cleaner Intake Duct)
Notice: Verify that the radiator air deflector is in position before installing
an air cleaner assembly. Improper installation may allow water intrusion which
could damage the engine.
- Position the
air intake duct at the front of the air cleaner assembly.
- Position the air intake duct onto the front of the throttle body
unit.
- Securely fasten the hose clamp at the air cleaner assembly.
- Securely fasten the hose clamp at the throttle body assembly
- Position the air cleaner assembly onto the radiator support.
- Install the button fasteners located at the rear of the air cleaner
assembly.
