| Does the oil pressure
gauge always read low pressure?

- Disconnect the oil pressure sensor.
- Using IP tester J33431, connect one red lead to the sensor connector
terminal A and connect the other red lead to ground.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position, with the engine
off.
- While observing the oil pressure gauge, set the resistance dial
on the tester to 0ohms, 500ohms, and 1,000ohms.
Does the oil pressure gauge move from 0 psi to 30 psi and then to 80
psi?

- Check for a poor connection at the oil pressure sensor.
- If the connections are OK, replace the oil pressure sensor.
Is the repair complete?

oil pressure sensor and the instrument cluster.
- If OK, replace the instrument cluster. Refer to
