Tail Lamp Replacement Chevrolet

Removal Procedure

  1. Reposition the rear compartment trim to access the taillamp nuts.

  2. Object Number: 294768  Size: SH
  3. Remove the taillamp nuts.
  4. Pull the taillamp outward from the rear end finishing panel.

  5. Object Number: 294769  Size: SH
  6. Remove the following wiring harness sockets from the taillamp:
  7. • The taillamp/stoplamp socket (1)
    • The taillamp socket (2)
    • The back-up lamp socket (3)
    • The turn signal socket (4)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 294769  Size: SH
  1. Install the following wiring harness sockets to the taillamp.
  2. • The turn signal socket (4)
    • The back-up lamp socket (3)
    • The taillamp socket (2)
    • The taillamp/stoplamp socket (1)

    Object Number: 294768  Size: SH
  3. Install the taillamp to the rear end finishing panel.
  4. Install the taillamp nuts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the taillamp nuts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  6. Reinstall the rear compartment trim.

Tail Lamp Replacement Pontiac

Removal Procedure

  1. Reposition the rear compartment trim to access the taillamp nuts.

  2. Object Number: 294772  Size: SH
  3. Remove the taillamp nuts.
  4. Remove the taillamp from the rear end panel.
  5. Remove the taillamp filler, if needed.
  6. Remove both taillamps in order to replace the taillamp filler.


    Object Number: 294774  Size: SH
  7. Remove the following wiring harness sockets remove the taillamp:
  8. • The taillamp socket (1)
    • The taillamp/stoplamp/turn signal sockets (3, 4)
    • The back-up lamp socket (2)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 294774  Size: SH
  1. Install the following wiring harness sockets to the taillamp.
  2. • The back-up lamp socket (2)
    • The taillamp/stoplamp/turn signal sockets (3, 4)
    • The taillamp socket (1)
  3. Install the taillamp filler, if needed.

  4. Object Number: 294772  Size: SH
  5. Install the taillamp to the rear end panel.
  6. Install the taillamp nuts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the taillamp nuts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  8. Reinstall the rear compartment trim.
