1. On vehicles with manual transmission, apply the park brake.
2. On vehicles with automatic transmission, place the shift lever in the park position.
3. Depress the rear compartment lid release switch.

The rear compartment lid opens.

1. Close the rear compartment lid.
2. Press the rear compartment lid release button on the remote control door lock transmitter.

The rear compartment lid opens.
