Removal Procedure

  1. Set the park brake, if equipped with a manual transmission

  2. Object Number: 341078  Size: SH
  3. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position, if equipped with a automatic transmission.
  4. Place the shift lever in the NEUTRAL position.
  5. Remove the shift control knob.
  6. Remove the shift lever knob from the shift lever.
  7. Remove the console trim plate.

  8. Object Number: 296134  Size: MH
  9. Remove the floor console bolts (1).
  10. Raise the park brake handle as far as possible.
  11. If the park brake handle cannot be pulled up far enough to remove the console, perform the following:

    • Release the park brake handle
    • Hold the adjuster pawl disengaged
    • Then park brake handle can be pulled up further.
  12. Disconnect the power outlet connector.
  13. Remove the floor console (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 296134  Size: MH
  1. Install the console (2) to the vehicle.
  2. Connect the power outlet connector.
  3. Release the park brake handle.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the floor console bolts (1).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the floor console bolts (1) to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  7. Install the console trim plate.
  8. Install the shift lever knob to the shift lever.
  9. Install the shift control knob.

  11. Place the shift lever in the PARK position.
  12. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
