Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 1998 🢒 Firebird 🢒 General Information 🢒 General Information 🢒 Transmission Fluid Level Inspection

    Object Number: 71531 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Clean any dirt from around the fill plug.
  3. Remove the transmission fill plug from the transmission.

    4. Object Number: 2327 Size: SH
  4. Check that the transmission fluid level is even with the bottom of the fill plug hole.
  5. Add Dexron®-III transmission fluid, if necessary.

    6. Object Number: 71531 Size: SH
  6. Install the transmission fill plug to the transmission.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission fill plug to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
