The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some owners of 1993 to 2002 F bodies may complain of a clunk noise from the rear suspension over bumps and/or turns.

The possible cause could be lower spring coil contact at the axle pad produces an audible clunk noise and requires an insulator between the bottom of the rear coil and the axle pad.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Install rubber insulator, part number 10247105 between the bottom of the rear coil and the axle pad.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
