1. Remove the propeller shaft. Refer to One-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement or Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement in Propeller Shaft.



2. Remove the case extension oil seal (1).

Use a flat bladed tool to pry the seal (1) from the housing.

1. Use the J 21426 and a soft face hammer, install the case extension oil seal (1).
2. Install the propeller shaft. Refer to One-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement or Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement in Propeller Shaft.
3. Check the transmission fluid level.
