- Disconnect the body control module (BCM) connector C3.
- Connect a 15A fused jumper between the BCM connector C3 terminal
C12 and ground.
Does the SECURITY indicator illuminate?

- Test for a poor connection at the BCM connector C3 terminal C12.
- If the connection is OK, replace the BCM. Refer to
Body Control Module Replacement

- Remove the instrument cluster.
- Connect a test lamp between the instrument cluster connector terminal
B3 and terminal A10.
- Connect a 15A fused jumper between BCM connector C3 terminal C12
and ground.
Does the test lamp light?

- Test for a poor connection at the instrument cluster connector
terminal A10 and terminal B3.
- If the connections are OK, replace the instrument cluster. Refer

- Test for an open in circuit 728 between the instrument cluster
connector terminal B3 and the BCM connector C3 terminal C12.
- If the connection is OK, repair the open in circuit 640 between
S211 and the instrument cluster connector terminal A10.
