🢒 Cruise Control Module Replacement
Removal Procedure
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
in Engine Electrical.
Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
Remove the left front bumper fascia lower deflector. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement
in Bumpers.
Remove the cruise control module cover.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the cruise control module.
Disconnect the cruise control cable connector from the brake pipe clip.
Disconnect the cruise control cable from the cruise control module. Refer to
Cruise Control Cable Replacement
.
Remove the cruise control module bracket bolts (1 and 2).
Remove the cruise control module and bracket from the left side engine compartment inner rail.
Remove the cruise control module to bracket bolts.
Remove the cruise control module from the bracket.
Installation Procedure
Connect the cruise control module to the bracket.
Install the cruise control module to bracket bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the cruise control module to bracket bolts to 4.5 N·m (40 lb in).
Install the cruise control module and bracket to the left engine compartment inner rail.
Install the cruise control module bracket bolts.
Tighten
•
Tighten the cruise control module bracket bolts (1) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
•
Tighten the cruise control module bracket bolt (2) to 2.0 N·m (18 lb in).
Connect the cruise control cable to the cruise control module. Refer to
Cruise Control Cable Replacement
.
Connect the cruise control cable clip to the brake pipe clip.
Connect the electrical connector to the cruise control module.
Install the cruise control module cover.
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
in Engine Electrical.
Instal the left front bumper fascia lower deflector. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement
in Bumpers.
Lower the vehicle.
Adjust the cruise control cable as needed. Refer to
Cruise Control Cable Adjustment
