Brake Transmission Shift Interlock Solenoid Replacement for Pontiac Firebird 2000

1. Remove the front floor console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
2. Disconnect the brake transmission shift interlock (BTSI) solenoid electrical connector (1).



3. Unsnap the BTSI solenoid from the transmission control base.

1. Snap the BTSI solenoid to the transmission control base.



2. Connect the BTSI solenoid electrical connector (1).
3. Install the front floor console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
