Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 208553 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the following electrical connectors.
    2. • Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor
    • Mass airflow (MAF) sensor

  2. Remove the air intake duct from the following:
    3. • Throttle body
    • Air cleaner box
  3. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
  4. Remove the left catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side in Engine Exhaust.

  5. Remove the engine mount heat shield nuts.
  6. Remove the engine mount heat shield.

    7. Object Number: 220588 Size: SH
  7. Remove the engine mount bracket bolts.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Slightly raise the left side of the engine using the support fixture in order to relieve some tension on the engine mount.
  10. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  11. Remove the engine mount studs.
  12. Remove the engine mount and bracket assembly.
  13. Place the engine mount and bracket assembly on the workbench.
  14. Separate the engine mount and bracket assembly.

Installation Procedure

  1. Loosely install the engine mount through bolt to the engine mount and bracket.
  2. Install the engine mount and bracket assembly.
  3. Install the engine mount studs until snug.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Lower the left side of the engine.
  6. Raise the vehicle.

  7. Install the engine mount bracket bolts until snug.

    8. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Tighten the engine mount through bolt and nut.

    9. Tighten

        • Tighten the engine mount through bolt to 95 N·m (70 lb ft).
        • Tighten the engine mount through bolt nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
        • Tighten the engine mount studs the 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
        • Tighten the engine mount bracket bolts to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).

  9. Install the engine mount heat shield.
  10. Install the engine mount heat shield nuts.

    11. Tighten
    Tighten the engine mount heat shield nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  11. Install the left catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side in Engine Exhaust.
  12. Lower the vehicle.
  13. Remove the engine support fixture.

  14. Install the air intake duct to the following:
    15. • Throttle body
    • Air cleaner box

  15. Connect the following electrical connectors:
    16. • IAT sensor
    • MAF sensor
