Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 208553  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the following electrical connectors:
  2. • Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor
    • Mass airflow (MAF) sensor

  3. Remove the air intake duct from the following:
  4. • Throttle body
    • Air cleaner box
  5. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .

  6. Object Number: 211595  Size: SH
  7. Remove the negative battery cable lead bolt (1).
  8. Remove the starter motor. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement in Engine Electrical.

  9. Object Number: 657853  Size: SH
  10. Disconnect the oil level sensor electrical connector (1).

  11. Object Number: 220585  Size: SH
  12. Remove the engine mount bracket bolts.
  13. Lower the vehicle.
  14. Slightly raise the right side of the engine using the support fixture in order to relieve some tension on the engine mount.

  15. Object Number: 220586  Size: SH
  16. Remove the engine mount bolts.
  17. Remove the engine mount and bracket assembly.
  18. Place the engine mount and bracket assembly on a workbench.
  19. Separate the engine mount and bracket assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 220586  Size: SH
  1. Loosely install the engine mount through bolt to the engine mount and bracket.
  2. Install the engine mount and bracket assembly.
  3. Install the engine mount bolts until snug.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Lower the right side of the engine.
  6. Raise the vehicle.

  8. Install the engine mount bracket bolts until snug.
  9. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  10. Tighten the engine mount through bolt and mount nut.
  11. Tighten

    1. Tighten the engine mount through bolt to 95 N·m (70 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the engine mount through bolt nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
    3. Tighten the engine mount bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
    4. Tighten the engine mount bracket bolts to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).

  12. Connect the oil level sensor electrical connector (1).
  13. Install the starter motor. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement in Engine Electrical.

  14. Object Number: 211595  Size: SH
  15. Install the negative battery cable lead bolt (1).
  16. Tighten
    Tighten the negative battery cable lead bolt (1) to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).

  17. Lower the vehicle.
  18. Remove the engine support fixture.

  19. Object Number: 208569  Size: SH
  20. Install the air intake duct to the following:
  21. • Throttle body
    • Air cleaner box

  22. Connect the following electrical connectors:
  23. • IAT sensor
    • MAF sensor
