J 37043 Parking Brake Cable Release Tool

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.



2. Remove the rear park brake cables (1) from the park brake actuators (2).



3. Pull the park brake cable ends forward at the equalizer (1).
4. Remove the park brake cable ends from the equalizer adjuster track (3).
5. Using the J 37043 , remove the rear park brake cables (3) and the front park brake cable from the equalizer.
6. Remove the equalizer.

1. Install the front park brake cable to the equalizer (1).
2. Install the rear park brake cables (3) to the equalizer.
3. Install the park brake cable ends to the equalizer adjuster track (3).



4. Install the rear park brake cables (1) to the park brake actuators (2).
5. Adjust the park brake. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment .
6. Lower the vehicle.
