Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 3.8L Engine
Removal Procedure
- Drain the cooling system.
Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electrical
connector.
- Loosen the air duct clamp.
- Remove the intake air duct resonator.
- Reposition the inlet hose
clamp at the water outlet.
- Remove the inlet hose from the water outlet.
- Reposition
the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.
- Remove the inlet hose (1) from the radiator.
Installation Procedure
- Install the inlet hose
(1) to the radiator.
- Position the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.
- Install the inlet hose
to the water outlet.
- Position the inlet hose clamp at the water outlet.
- Install the intake air
duct resonator.
- Tighten the air duct clamp.
- Connect the IAT sensor
electrical connector.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 5.7L Engine
Removal Procedure
- Drain the cooling system.

Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Disconnect the following electrical connectors:
• | Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor |
• | Mass airflow (MAF) sensor |
- Remove the air cleaner
outlet duct.
- Reposition the inlet hose
clamp at the radiator.
- Remove the inlet hose (1) from the radiator.
- Reposition the inlet hose
clamps at the power steering cooler, if equipped.
- Remove the inlet hoses from the power steering cooler, if equipped.
- Reposition the inlet hose
clamp at the water pump.
- Remove the inlet hose from the water pump.
Installation Procedure
- Install the inlet hose
to the water pump.
- Position the inlet hose clamp at the water pump.
- Install the inlet hoses
to the power steering cooler, if equipped.
- Position the inlet hose clamps at the power steering cooler, if
equipped.
- Install the inlet hose
(1) to the radiator.
- Position the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.
- Install the air cleaner
outlet duct.
- Connect the following
electrical connectors:
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
