Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.

  1. Lack of communication may be due to a partial malfunction in the BCM. The specified procedure will determine the particular condition.

  2. This step checks to see if the problem may be a retained accessory power problem rather than a door system problem.

Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System in Body Control System.

Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check for the Body Control System?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System in Body Control System.

Did you retrieve any DTCs other than 12, 25/35, 55 and configuration numbers?

Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List in Body Control System.

Go to Step 3

Do the power windows operate more than ten minutes after turning the ignition off?

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) On After Timeout in Body Control System.
