Notice: Check the throttle lever screw and the throttle stop screw for evidence
of tampering before replacing the ISC motor. Perform the following 2 inspections:
• Open the throttle lever to the full open position. Check that
the yellow paint has not come off of the throttle lever screw. • Turn the resin cap of the throttle stop screw on the throttle
body side with your fingers. Check the entire cap for damage.
Notice: Do not supply electrical power to the ISC motor terminals before installation in order to avoid damage to the ISC motor.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the ISC motor screws to 2.8 to 4.0 N·m (24 to 36 lb in).
