Tools Required

1. Remove the radiator cap.
2. Clean the radiator cap.
3. Install the radiator cap on a J 24460-01 along with a J 41336-2 .
4. Pump the tester slowly to obtain the minimum holding pressure.
5. If the radiator cap fails to hold 90 kPa (13 psi), replace the cap. Wet the new cap with coolant before installing the new cap.
6. Install the J 24460-01 and a J 41336-2 on the radiator. Pump the cooling system to 90 kPa (13 psi). Check for leaks and watch for a pressure drop on the tester gauge. Repair the cooling system as necessary.
