Wheel Speed Sensor Jumper Harness Replacement Front

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 221758  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor jumper to harness connector, (located near the strut tower inside the engine compartment).
  2. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable hoist. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (1).
  4. Remove the three bolts retaining the harness to the vehicle.
  5. Remove the harness from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 221758  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the jumper harness to the vehicle; secure with three bolts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the jumper harness retaining bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  3. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (1).
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Connect the wheel speed sensor jumper to harness connector.
  6. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - ABS .

Wheel Speed Sensor Jumper Harness Replacement Rear

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 430244  Size: SH
  1. Remove the Rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  2. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor jumper to harness connector (2).
  3. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable hoist. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  5. Disconnect the rear wheel speed electrical connector (2).

  6. Object Number: 221760  Size: SH
  7. Remove three bolts retaining the jumper harness to the vehicle.
  8. Remove the jumper harness (2) and the grommet from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the jumper harness (2) and the grommet to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.   5. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (2).
  6. Lower the vehicle.

  8. Connect the wheel speed sensor jumper to harness connector (2).
  9. Install rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  10. Perform Diagnostic System Check - ABS .
