The scan tool accesses the following data lines:
| • | The electronic brake control module (EBCM), on vehicles with automatic brake systems |
| • | The sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) |
The PPL wire at cavity 9 of the data link connector provides access to the EBCM and to the SDM . The PPL/WHT wire in cavity 7 of the data link connector provides access to the powertrain control module (PCM).
The data lines monitor the module for diagnostic purposes and for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
