Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement 2 Door

1. Remove the front seat assembly. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .



2. Remove the following components from the recliner mechanism (2):

2.1.

1 screw

2.2.	The recliner handle (3)

3. Remove the following components from each side of the seat:

3.1.

2 screws

3.2.	The seat cushion side panel

4. Disconnect the easy entry cable (11).



5. Remove the following components from the seat:

5.1.

2 bolts

5.2.

1 nut

5.3.	The outboard seat adjuster (8)

6. Remove the following components from the seat:

6.1.

2 bolts

6.2.	The inboard seat adjuster (9)




7. Remove the inboard seat back hinge arm screw (2) from the seat assembly.



8. Remove the bolt that secures the recliner mechanism to the seat cushion.
9. Remove the seat cushion (7) from the seat assembly.



10. Remove the hog rings (1).

Important: The seat's foam pad is bonded to the seat frame. Use care when removing the cover.

11. Remove the seat cushion cover (2).

1. Install the seat cushion cover (10) to the seat cushion (7).



2. Using hog ring pliers, secure the seat cushion cover (2) with the new hog rings (1).
3. Install the seat cushion to the seat assembly.



4. Secure the seat cushion to the seat assembly with the inboard seat back hinge arm screw (2).




Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

5. Install the recliner mechanism to the seat cushion. Secure the mechanism with 1 mounting bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the recliner mechanism mounting bolt to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

6. Install the inboard seat adjuster (9) to the seat. Secure the adjuster with 2 mounting bolts.

Install the outboard seat adjuster (8) to the seat. Secure the adjuster with the nut and 2 mounting bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the inboard and outboard seat adjuster mounting nut and bolts to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

7. Connect the easy entry cable (11).
8. Install the seat cushion side panels (5) to the seat assembly. Secure each side panel with 2 screws.



9. Install the recliner handle (3) to the recliner mechanism (2). Secure the handle with 1 screw.
10. Install the front seat assembly. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .

Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement 4 Door

1. Remove the front seat assembly. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .



2. Remove the following components from the recliner mechanism (2):

2.1.

1 screw

2.2.	The recliner handle (3)

3. Remove the following components from each side of the seat:

3.1.

2 screws

3.2.	The seat cushion side panel




4. Remove the following components from the seat:

4.1.

2 bolts

4.2.

1 nut

4.3.	The outboard seat adjuster (8)

5. Remove the following components from the seat:

5.1.

2 bolts

5.2.	The inboard seat adjuster (9)




6. Remove the inboard seat back hinge arm screw (2) from the seat assembly.



7. Remove the bolt that secures the recliner mechanism to the seat cushion.
8. Remove the seat cushion (7) from the seat assembly.



9. Remove the hog rings (1).

Important: The seat's foam pad is bonded to the seat frame. Use care when removing the cover.

10. Remove the seat cushion cover (2).

1. Install the seat cushion cover (10) to the seat cushion (7).



2. Using hog ring pliers, secure the seat cushion cover (2) with the new hog rings (1).
3. Install the seat cushion to the seat assembly.



4. Secure the seat cushion to the seat assembly with the inboard seat back hinge arm screw (2).

5. Install the recliner mechanism to the seat cushion. Secure the mechanism with 1 mounting bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the recliner mechanism mounting bolt to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

6. Install the inboard seat adjuster (9) to the seat. Secure the adjuster with 2 mounting bolts.

Install the outboard seat adjuster (8) to the seat. Secure the adjuster with the nut and 2 mounting bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the inboard and outboard seat adjuster mounting nut and bolts to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

7. Install the seat cushion side panels (5) to the seat assembly. Secure each side panel with 2 screws.



8. Install the recliner handle (3) to the recliner mechanism (2). Secure the handle with 1 screw.
9. Install the front seat assembly. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
