Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.
  2. Lift the vehicle up.
  3. Remove the front-right tire and wheel.

  4. Object Number: 2033777  Size: SH
  5. Remove the engine under cover.
  6. Remove the power steering pump bracket retaining bolts and loosen the belt.
  7. Remove the power steering pump-air compressor belt.

  8. Object Number: 2033778  Size: SH
  9. Rotate the inner hex of the tensioner nut counterclockwise and loosen the nut.
  10. Rotate the outer hex of the tensioner nut clockwise and put down the tensioner.
  11. Remove the water pump-generator belt.

  13. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement
  14. Remove the accessory tensioner (2).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2033779  Size: SH
  1. Install the accessory tensioner (2).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the accessory tensioner retaining bolts (1) to 33 N·m (24.3 lb ft).

  3. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement.

  4. Object Number: 2033778  Size: SH
  5. Rotate the outer hex of the tensioner nut counterclockwise and put up the tensioner.
  6. Rotate the inner hex of the tensioner nut clockwise and tighten the nut, installing the water pump-generator belt.

  7. Object Number: 2033780  Size: SH
  8. Install the power steering pump-air compressor belt (1), tightening power steering pump bracket retaining bolts.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the power steering pump bracket mounting bolts to 20 N·m (14.7 lb ft).

  10. Install the engine undercover.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.
