Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 2042548 Size: SH

    Note: A small amount of engine oil may be lost after removal of the camshaft position sensor.

  1. Remove the ignition coil.
  2. Disconnect the sensor electrical connector (1).
  3. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor bolt (3) and sensor (2).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2042548 Size: SH
  1. Install the CMP sensor (2) and bolts (3) and tighten to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
  2. Connect the sensor electrical connector (1).
  3. Install the ignition coil.
