Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Support the transaxle with an appropriate jack.

    3. Object Number: 1546903 Size: SH
  3. Remove the rear transaxle mount thru bolt and heat shield.

    4. Object Number: 851572 Size: SH
  4. Remove the rear transaxle mount to frame bolts.
  5. Remove the rear transaxle mount.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 851572 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear transaxle mount to frame bolts. Hand tighten the bolts.

    2. Object Number: 1546903 Size: SH
  2. Install the rear transaxle mount, heat shield and the thru bolt to the transmission bracket. Hand tighten the bolt.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 851572 Size: SH
  3. Tighten the rear transaxle mount to frame bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

    Important: 

       • Rotate the rear transaxle mount heat shield clockwise until the tab is seated on the mount bracket.
       • The front and rear transmission mounts must be allowed to settle with the thru bolts loosened.

  4. Loosen the front transaxle mount thru bolt but do not remove the bolt.

    5. Object Number: 1546903 Size: SH
  5. Tighten the rear transmission mount thru bolt.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the thru bolt to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1497621 Size: SH
  6. Tighten the front transmission mount thru bolt.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the thru bolt to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
