| Brake Pipe Fitting
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Procedure
- Cap or plug the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- After the installation is complete, bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to
Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding
.
Tighten 19 N·m (14 lb ft) |

| Brake Hose Bracket Bolt
Tighten 25 N·m (35 lb ft) |

| Brake Hose
Tip The brake hose bracket and retaining clip are replaced as an assembly with the brake hose. |

| Brake Hose Fitting Bolt
Tighten 48 N·m (35 lb ft) |

| Brake Hose Gasket (Qty: 2)
Procedure
- Discard the brake hose gaskets.
- During assembly, install new brake hose gaskets.

Front Brake Hose Replacement With RPO LNF
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution in the Preface section.
Caution: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution in the Preface section.
Notice: Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Notice in the Preface section.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
.
- Disconnect the front brake pipe fitting (1).
Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake
fluid loss and contamination.
- Remove the front brake hose bracket bolt (1).
- Remove the brake hose fitting bolt (1).
- Remove the brake hose fitting gaskets (2) from the brake hose (3).
Discard the brake hose fitting gaskets.
- Remove the brake hose.
Installation Procedure
- Assemble the brake hose fitting bolt (1) with 2 new brake hose fitting gaskets (2) to the
brake hose (3).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the brake hose assembly to the caliper.
Tighten
Tighten the brake hose fitting bolt to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).
- Install the front brake hose bracket bolt (1).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Connect the front brake pipe fitting (1).
Tighten
Tighten the fitting to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).
- Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to
Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding
.
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
.
