The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
You may notice that after an EBCM replacement that you have no communication with the ABS system further complicating diagnostics. This is likely due to NO operating system software installed in the EBCM from the supplier.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Program the module via SPS before continuing any diagnostics, as the EBCM needs to have the operating system loaded before it will start to communicate with the Tech 2.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
