Preliminary Procedures
- BEFORE PROCEDURE IS STARTED, note the position of the spring on the actuator cable eyelet screw to ensure proper function of the stowage compartment panels upon reassembly.
- Close the folding top and open the rear compartment.
- From the rear compartment, remove the screws and springs which retain the roof retractable stowage compartment closeout panel actuator cable end eyelet to the folding top side rail links.
- Place the folding top into the service position. Refer to
Folding Top Retainer Strap Installation Position.
- Remove the upper lock pillar trim panel. Refer to
Lock Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Replacement.

| Front Outer Folding Top Storage Compartment Closeout Panel Actuator Cable Nut (Qty: 2)
Tip Manually pull the front outer panel to the fully outward position, release and verify the panels travel back to the stop screw. Tighten/loosen the jamb nut until the outer panel travels in a smooth and steady motion. |

| Roof Retractor Flipper Door Cable Clip (Qty: 2)
Tip Support the front outer closeout panels, as they may rotate without a cable attached. |

| Front Outer Folding Top Storage Compartment Closeout Panel Actuator Cable Assembly
Procedure
- It will be necessary to push the rear seat carpet closeout aside to access cable.
- When removing the cable, pull the spring end of the cable first through the bulkhead.
- Ensure that the cable is correctly routed through the rectangular opening at the end of the bulkhead to avoid damage to the cable.
- Route the new cable through the underside of the bulkhead, spring end of the cable first.
- Cycle folding top a few seconds at a time to ensure that the tonneau is moving properly and not hanging up or interfering with the top.
