Preliminary Procedure

1. Apply two layers of masking tape to the forward edge of the grille being serviced in order to protect the painted surface of the hood.
2. Using a plastic flat-bladed tool, gently lift upward in order to release the grille assembly clips from the hood assembly.
3. Remove the clips from the hood if necessary.

Release the three fingers from the rear edge of the grille assembly and remove.
