Preliminary Procedure

Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement .

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
32 N·m (24 lb ft)

Steering Wheel

Procedure

1. Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.
2. Make an alignment mark to note the relationship between the steering wheel and the steering shaft. The marks will be needed to align the steering wheel during installation.
3. Remove the steering wheel using puller J 1859-A and puller legs J 42578 .
