Vehicle Dynamics Option In BCM Option Configuration - keywords electronic module programming setup stabilitrak

This PI was superseded to update the model years & Tech 2 version. Please discard PIC4097B.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

When setting up a NEW BCM you may notice that in the option configuration section there is an option for Vehicle Dynamics. This feature is also known as (aka) " Stabilitrak "

You may see the FX3 - STABILITRAK, DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEM (DCS) listed on the SPID label.

To enable this function please follow the below pathing.

1. Make sure your Tech-2 is on software version 27.012 or higher.
2. With the Candi module installed on the Tech-2, build the correct model year and body style.
3. Navigate to the Computer/Integrating Systems " Pick the Engine type " Other " Module Setup " Body Control Module " BCM Setup " Unable to program VIN/Odometer controller is locked > Would you like to configure options only? > Yes > Continue > USA Save options > Put an Asterisk " * " next to the Vehicle Dynamics option and save options > Continue to the next page and make sure to save options > New BCM setup is complete.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
