The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may experience no audio from the OnStar system after installing a P/N 19166167 GM Accessories XM Radio Kit.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Dealers will need to rewire the 12 way female connector on the GM accessory harness. Remove the terminal from cavity C6 (circuit 2062) and move it to cavity C1 of the same connector. Next, remove the terminal from cavity C5 (circuit 2061) and move it to cavity C2 of the same connector. Reinstall the harness into the vehicle and retest.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
