Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1315794  Size: SH

    Caution: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.

  1. Open and support the hood.
  2. Install a protective covering over the fenders.
  3. Remove the hood insulator, if equipped. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement.
  4. Mark the upper hood hinge location to the hood with a grease pencil.
  5. With an assistant, remove the hood hinge to hood bolts.
  6. With an assistant, remove the hood.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1315794  Size: SH
  1. With an assistant, position the hood to the hinges.
  2. Align the hood hinges to the alignment marks on the hood.
  3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the bolts that secure the hinge to the hood.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the hood insulator, if equipped. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement.
  7. Adjust the hood. Refer to Hood Adjustment.
  8. Remove the protective covering from the fenders.
  9. Remove the support and close the hood.
